| Built in 1970 in the Modernist regionalism style of O'Neil Ford, this former city hall and police station for Balcones Heights gained new life in 2007 when renovated by Slay Engineering and Madeline Anz Slay Architecture. Keeping the original architectural style, the interior was transformed by using many sustainable components including installing a raised flooring system with underfloor air conditioning and wiring access, computer controlled light fixtures where the staff can alter the lighting levels at their workstations, installing movable wall systems for office flexibility and installing solar panels on the roof. |
