The Stuart residence is a true expression of “the home is where the heart is”. The owner’s love of family is evident in all the details and special places built into this home. Every room has a little something that sets it apart. The grandchildren have their own bunk room with a magnificent view of the lake. The master suite is set apart from the rest of the bedrooms with its own private stairway and private balcony.
The warmth of wood and the rustic appeal of stone are carried through out the project. The ceilings of the main living area were recycled wood flooring from a large home in the San Antonio area that was being demolished. The stone veneer at the foundation and fireplace on the exterior are repeated in the kitchen with a stone surround at the large cook top. Heavy timber construction defines the wrap around porch and accent many rooms including the dining room and master bedroom.
